   Celebrating our Thirtieth Year!

Over the past twenty-nine years, our summer festival in Greensboro has provided
an outstanding selection of classical music and musicians. The spectrum of
performances includes Violin, Cello, Piano, Guitar, a Chamber Orchestra and Voice.

It is has been your continued willingness to support the Festival through
attendance at concerts, fundraising events and donations that has allowed
it to go on. We thank you very much for your support in the past and hope
that you will again give us that support in our thirtieth year.

Our Concerts are held at the United Church of Christ, Main St, Greensboro at 8pm.

GREENSBORO - The future of Summer Music from Greensboro, the 29-year-old
Northeast Kingdom chamber music group, was enhanced with the announcement
this week of an annonymous $100,000.00 gift to the organization's endowment.

Summer Music from Greensboro has been among the most important of
Greensboro's rich and varied cultural activities since its founding in the
late 1970's,
Mary Darling Hewes, president of the organization, said in a
prepared statement. The high quality of our musicians, who come from
music centers in Boston, New York, Washington and abroad to perform in
the festival, bring exceptional musical talent to the chamber group's unique
setting here on Caspian Lake.

Hewes said that those involved in Summer Music were very gratified by the
donor's commitment to making sure chamber music in Greensboro would
continue. The gift will provide support for ongoing operations as well as
opportunites for new programming, she said. Hewes also said she hoped
that gift would inspire others to offer contributions and sponsorships.

Since its founding in 1978 by passionate music lovers, including music
director Thomas Zajkowski, this nonprofit chamber music organization
presents opera, vocal music, and brass ensembles, as well as chamber
trios and quartets. The concerts are held at the United Church of Christ,
Greensboro. ...
