Frank Shaw, viola
Frank Shaw, violist, has performed throughout the United States, South
America and Canada, and is now living in Boston and studying at the New
England Conservatory with violist Martha Strongin Katz. He received his
Bachelor?s and Master?s degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music
after graduating from the Interlochen Arts Academy in 2000. A native of
Blacksburg, Virginia, Frank explored the piano, violin and percussion at
an early age.

Frank has participated in numerous music festivals, including the
Meadowmount School of Music, International Musicians? Seminar at Prussia
Cove, Taos School of Music, Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival, and
Music@Menlo, working with members of the Audubon, Cleveland, Emerson,
Fine Arts, Guarneri, Juilliard, and Takács String Quartets. In addition
to being founding violist fo the Brando and Luna String Quartets, Frank
is currently very active as a founding and touring member of the dynamic
Boston-based chamber orchestra, A Far Cry. In his spare time, Frank
enjoys the culinary arts.
