Ahreum Han, organ
Ahreum Han was born in Seoul, Korea. Her family immigrated to
Atlanta, GA when she was at the age of sixteen. She graduated with a
bachelor degree in organ performance from Westminster Choir College,
studied with Ken Cowan, an artist's diploma from the prestigious
Curtis Institute of Music, studied with Alan Morrison and a Master
degree from Yale School of Music and Yale Institute of Sacred Music
studied with Thomas Murray.

Ms. Han has received top prizes from numerous competitions including
the undergraduate division of Westminster Choir College Scholarship
Competition, the Charlotte Hoyt Bagnall Scholarship Competition, the
Music Teachers National Association(MTNA) National Young Artist
Performance Competition, the John Rodland Memorial Church Music
Scholarship Competition, the Albert Schweitzer organ competition, the
Carlean Neihart Organ Competition, and the West Chester University
Organ Competition. Her live performance concerts were featured on the
radio show PIPEDREAMS from Amercan Public Media.

Ms. Han is active as organ soloist. She has performed with the Curtis
Symphony Orchestra at Philadelphia?s Kimmel Center, the University of
Pennsylvania Orchestra at Irvine Auditorium, as well as solo
performances at the Kimmel Center?s widely-acclaimed Cooper Memorial
Organ, Ocean Grove Auditorium, St. Bartholomew?s Church in New York
City, Trinity Church at Wall Street, St. Philip?s Cathedral in
Atlanta, Jack Singer Hall in Calgary and the Princeton University
Chapel etc.

She has been a featured soloist at the Young Virtuosi Festival held at
Wesleyan University, CT, Colorado State University, CO, and the White
Mountain Musical Arts Bach Festival in New Hampshire. She was invited
to perform at Michealskirche in Leipzig, Germany, Oxford Town Hall and
Nottingham Albert Concert Hall in United Kingdom in 2008. She was also
a featured artist at the Regional Convention of the American Guild of
Organists held in Atlanta, GA (2007) and the Winter Conclave of the
AGO held in Sarasota, FL (2010).

She served as the Principal Organist at First Presbyterian Church in
West Chester, PA, an organist at Marquand Chapel of Yale Divinity
School and the Berkeley Divinity School of Yale University. She
currently works as the organist at St. Andrew?s Episcopal Church in
Stamford, CT.
